An unusual windmill!
Fabien Duperray's wines are unique in Beaujolais.
After 20 years of criss-crossing the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune, Fabien Duperray took the step of buying vines and taking up the challenge of showing that on the great terroirs of Beaujolais, it is possible to make wines of a level comparable to the finest Burgundy or Rhône wines.
The selection of the plots was uncompromising, the work in the vineyard put in the foreground with a biodynamic culture, very small yields (less than 30hl/ha) on very old vines.
An optimal harvest, not erratic, gentle fermentations on indigenous yeasts, then a long maturation of 2 years.
In the end, the wines are marked by the stone, the granite, the wines without any fermenting aromas of Beaujolais, but with a magnificent cherry.
