Superb blend of 6 6 Islands Scottish Whiskies!
Years of age, "The Six Isles" is the first whisky malt which includes malts from the six producing Islands: Arran, Islay, Jura, Mull, Orkney and Skye. If 6 Isles is characterized by peat and smoke, notes which are great in common to all of these distilleries, he draws at each of them well other things (Orkneys, spices to Skye... Heath).
Nose: Complex. Spices, pepper, light smoked, sour candy, iodine and floral aromas of spring Heath make up, nose.
In the mouth it is rich, sweet, oily, interspersed freshly cut wood and citrus, all coated light peat.
Water of life to bright yellow color on Buttercup reflections and the gradient on a shade more straw.
The finish is sweet, salty and sweet. Good length while subtlety.
Origin of the Islands:
The West and North of Scotland "continental", the coastline ends in a string of pretty inhospitable Islands, but which are still a few distilleries. The Island name is more officially recognised by the Scotch Whisky Association, which is now confused with Highland. But the remoteness and difficulty of trade with the rest of Scotland explain maintaining specific traditions
