A great 2015... Around 24 months of livestock, vines 60 years on sandy-clay soil with 60%of pebbles (hard limestone and Flint) on Jurassic.
"A cabernet franc highly recommendable that preserves the delicacy of texture of its sandy-clay soils. It presents a very significant freshness in this solar vintage." 16/20 RVF Gudie 2018
The field is starting to make a solid reputation on the Web, on starry as well as export tables. Sylvain Dittière is the son-in-law of Charly Foucault (Clos Rougeard).
Our 1st visit on 28 July 2015 enabled us to discover the "character", his "breeding cave" and all of its red and white wines: purity of the fruit picked ripe, silky tannins, energy worthy of great wines and exemplary balance.
We're on a level rarely achieved in the Loire region, if not to the Clos Rougeard.
That's why we referenced it immediately on bringing a few cartons. Enjoy it yet because the prices are really reasonable given the exceptional quality of the nectar!
PORTRAIT OF THE 2017 GUIDE REVIEW OF THE WINE OF FRANCE
"Talented thirty years, Sylvain Dittière has worked in the Gauby Thierry Germain, in the castle of Yvonne's House to the Clos Rougeard, where it is linked to the family Foucault." This very serious learning naturally led him to settle in 20 to Montreuil Bellay, in a basement old and very fresh, perfect for long breedings that are his trademark. Original, the range includes a sauvignon blanc on clay-sandy soils, high 14 months in barrels, and a chenin, the beaded, who spent 24 months in barrel. Very controlled, both red offer stakeholders flavors and a remarkable expression free, weathered by farms of a precision and requirement. This area made this year an entry noticed in our guide."
