A vintage already a reference at the Lapierres! From the granite face of the Côte du Py, called the Roche du Py, a stylish wine, all in elegance.
Camille Lapierre, a first on the estate, joined her brother at the estate after having studied here and there with different winemakers. Carte blanche, Mathieu lets her choose a vat of her choice and vinfier her as she wishes. A wine, full of fruit, all finesse, less powerful than the Marcel Lapierre cuvée which it is on shale.
In Beaujolais, Marcel was one of the first to make magnificent natural wines. He was known to wine lovers and recognized in this universe by his peers. His son Mathieu continues today the adventure with the same determination, and the experience of many vintages vinified alongside his father. The motto of the estate is to let the Gamay express itself fully and authentically on its favorite terroir. Located in Villié-Morgon, the vines have an average age of 45 years and are planted at high density to promote competition and rooting.
He plows his vines, does not use weedkillers and chemical fertilizers, sorts his harvest, and limits yields. Its winemaking is without heating, without levurage, without sulphur and without chaptalisation. Breeding is done in Burgundy barrels.
