A Grasberg 2017 semi-dry exotic, fat, long and bright. Explosion of citrus fruit jams and leaves of fresh mint to the nose. Mouth full of large very ripe citrus acid energy. Final length more sweet, unusual vitality.
Complantation of Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Pinot
GRASBERG 2017 - "the barren hill.
Land of poor limestone from the great Oolithe
Dress dense, busy, marked by a beautiful dress Golden ripe grapes.
-"Mental landscape": wine cold, pretty internalized. Landscape light, but colder than Rotenberg orientation: blue, orange, Earth. Suggestions range from tea, lemon, very acidic exotic fruit.
-Nose touch: wine of great wit, very tense, but deep sedimentary by its width of the mouth. High density of material makes (return of salivation in Peacock tail), but the attack is strong, the SAP snipped, fine and impressive length. We feel yet some restraint, as if the potential of this wine in the making was still in a limbo.
-The port or energy: limestone wine, like a standard. Sharpness, vividness, vinosity. Stretched length of a candied lemon.
As usual, one of the greatest wines of the series, seductive and extravagant!
This wine comes exclusively from vines located on the "GRASBERG" at 340 m of exposure northeast to the Summit of the Grand Cru "Altenberg de Bergheim" based on poor limestones of the great Oolithe.
The thinness of the soils led vines to delve deep into the basement looking for energy. Complantation of Riesling, Gewurztraminer and Pinot grey
A Moonbeam in clear weather, a corner of oasis on the sea ice. An explosion!
