Beautiful representative of the Carignan. Warning, addictive gluttony! ThePigeonnier of La Terrasse d'Elise is an exemplary Carignan that juggles spices, black fruits and garrigue fragrances, Xavier Braujou's success.
The tannic structure does not necessarily require a carafe passage, but flared glasses will be fully adapted.
Lovers of native varietal, you will be charmed by the expression of Carignan. Vinified for more than a year in barrels, its aromatic range is delivered in great complexity on a texture with the ideal balance. It is a wine that brilliantly reproduces the expression of a grape variety on a southern terroir without excessive heaviness.

Xavier Braujou created the Terrace d'Elise estate in 1998 by building up a vineyard of about ten hectares on the great terroirs of Aniane. Its vines are planted in Carignan, Mourvèdre, Syrah and Cinsault.
Through hard work and passion, he has managed to put in place all the components favorable to the development of authentic wines, faithful to their origin. All the vintages of the Terrasse d'Elise are produced with harvests of course manual, from old vines of paltry yields but very concentrated from 20 to 25hl/ha. Wines of finesse, elegance, suavity, freshness, exceptional dress and aroma in the region... The vintages, all labelled IGP wine from herault countries claim the identity of their terroir and have the peculiarity for some to be mono-variety to reveal the intrinsic quality of the grape variety.
