The Henri Gouges estate is now run by the 4th generation, made up of Grégory, Christian and Pierre Gouges, who are carrying on the work begun nearly a century ago. The 15 hectares of the Henri Gouges estate are located south of Nuits-Saint-Georges on clay-limestone soils. The Nuits offered here are of an absolute classicism, for demanding amateurs, appreciating great wines for ageing even if the wines are more accessible than in the past in their youth. A new cellar allows us to work in gravity and to bring an additional precision compared to the wines produced in the past. The structures are a little more silky, allowing us to gain in refinement. But the style remains serious, clean, straight and deep. The Clos des Porrets, Les Pruliers or Les Vaucrains are references of the Nuits Saint-Georges Premier Cru appellation with significantly different styles.
