The Georges Vernay field is one of the myths of the Northern Rhône. Georges Vernay created the field in 1953 from a hectare and a half in Condrieu. It is thanks to the talent and the work of Georges Vernay Condrieu was saved from death and acquired its letters of nobility. The Vernay domain account today no less than 7 hectares of Condrieu including 3 from old vines. They give birth to two rare and prestigious vintages: Coteau de Vernon and the Chaillees of hell.
It was in 1997 that Christine, daughter of Georges Vernay made his first wine. If it is intended for the ENA, it is clear that Christine masters the intricacies of Viognier and its land in a big way. It was in 1997 that Christine created two sides toast. From old vines side Rôtie Red House comes from one of the best plots in the field. The old vines of this less than one hectare plot give a wine of extraordinary finesse, ranking among the best in the appellation wine.
