A Côte-Rôtie of very high level! Dark Ruby-colored wine. On the nose we have intense red fruit (blackcurrant) perfumes, vanilla, and roasted notes. The mouth is of great finesse, the tannins are well rounded and melted. Long and silky finish.
This wine takes its name from "Fortis fortuna fortior": lucky strengthens valour. This was the motto of the owner of the field in the 17th century, Marshal of France of Louis XIV.
'Fortis': valiant, courageous, strong, strong, strong...
Vigorous, the vines of Viognier and Syrah, pushing on granitic soils poor, arid and rocky.
Brave, growers who work still manually.
This wine comes from the hills of blondes land of gneiss, South of Ampuis.
This terroir allows power and minerality of the Syrah to agree perfectly with the fruit and roundness of the viognier.
Food and wine:
Calf in the figs, Mallard, net of bobbin to mushrooms, deer, magret of duck... and cheese...
