An Out-of-the-ordinary Windmill!
Fabien Duperray wines are unique in Beaujolais.
After 20 years of criss-crossing the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune Fabien Duperray has taken the step of buying vines and the gamble to show that on the great terrois of Beaujolais where one can make wines of a level comparable to the most raw Burgundy or Rhodanns.
The selection of plots was uncompromising, the work of the vines put in the foreground with a culture in biodynamic, very small yields (less than 30hl/ha) on very old vines.
An optimal harvest, not errafled, fermentations very smoothly on native yeasts, then a 2-year-long breeding.
In the end wines marked by pebble, granite, wines without any fermenting aromas of Beaujolais, but on a cherry, a magnificent cherry.
