Its ruby colour gives off aromas of cherry in syrup and sandalwood. The palate is seductive and harmonious with a fresh fruitiness. It is a full-bodied wine that will seduce you with its greediness and its fruit with overflowing energy.
The Domaine des Nugues is run by the Gelin family, children and grandchildren of winegrowers. Located in the north of Beaujolais, on the border of the Moulin-à-Vent, Fleurie and Morgon crus, the 33 hectare vineyard is made up of vines that are at least 45 years old, some of the Gamay vines are even over a century old.
The cultivation of the vines in a reasoned way on a granite dominated soil, the manual harvest and the vinification according to the Beaujolais tradition, with semi-carbonic maceration give very successful wines.
