The Cuvée Vieilles Vignes "Les Croix", Crozes Hermitage, 0%Syrah comes from vines more than 50 years old and a month-long ageing on thin dregs. A Crozes Hermitage where biodynamics is probably there for something with this difference: an incredible aromatic palette! It's like a garden of thyme, bay leaf, rosemary, mint... On the palate, it deploys flavors of ripe red fruit, fresh pepper and smoked meat, with a nice intensity.
The Crosses, so-called places of the plot, where we find the best terroir of the estate with 15%clay and a soil 1.5 m deep before the limestone basement.
Domaine Les Bruyères is entirely organically grown (certified by ECOCERT) and biodynamic, i.e. consideration of astral influences, the rhythm of nature and the use of homeopathic plant preparations (certified by BIODYVIN). It is located in the heart of the Crozes Hermitage appellation, on a soil of clay-limestone terraces with soil drained by disaggregated pebbles.
On the 28 hectares of vineyards, the Syrah grape, the soul of this appellation, is worked with passion by David Reynaud with respect for the vines and the balance of flora and fauna. He is also adept at "Eating well and drinking well" and these cuvées are in his image, combining the subtlety of aromas with the power and beauty of the nectar character.
