The field of Belliviere produces Chenin of great purity and an original aromatic complexity. Eric Nicolas excels in the development and the vinification of wines of refinement.

The field of Belliviere, hectares in the appellations Jasnières and hillsides of the Loir. The plots located on 5 municipalities (Lhomme, Ruillé on Loir, Dissay under house, Marcon and Chahaignes) offer the different terroirs which are the richness and the diversity of the wines of the area.

The vines are cultivated (ploughing, scratching, etc.), including the old vines (50 to 80 years). Parcel by parcel, and little by little, the substantive work can see a natural resistance that the field is constantly improving and chose 2008 to convert the whole of the vineyard in biodynamic farming. The harvest is completely manual and yields are decidedly very moderate. Plantations in mass selection are deliberately designed to high density, more qualitative, in order to take better care of our rare terroirs and value. The old vines Eparses cuvée comes from a blend of 50 to 80 years old vines.

GRAPE Chenin 0%. Vines over 50 years old. Vineyards scattered over several municipalities.

SOIL clay with Flint on tuffeaux. The presence of strong clays is lower than for the roses, so a tendency to have the finest terroirs.

VITICULTURE work of soil: plowing, release and erasures. No weeding. -Maximum yield 25 hl/ha. Manual harvest.

Natural WINEMAKING in 1, 2 and 3 wines barrels, maximum 1/4 of new wood. Breeding of a year minimum. The terroirs are separated and barrels are assembled prior to release into the vintages. -The balance is the work of nature.
