Obvious finesse, original aromas, pure, in a structure of perfect proportions. Final of very great persistence. It's bordering on perfection. The nose is laid and offers all the panoply of aromas of this terroir. The sensual mouth, full, voluptuous, presents caressing tannins. These give relief to the wine but are well melted in the volume of mouth. Great style, unmissable.
The Cuvée du Papet asserts itself with a sumptuous nose where the noble plant and the fruit match. The mouth, fleshy and embossed, has a tight weft, coated by a solar and greedy fruit, almost chocolatey.
First produced in 1989. The flagship of the estate, made only during the great vintages from very old Grenache vines (the oldest were planted in 1901) completed with Mourvèdre and/or Syrah in varying proportion depending on the vintage. All the grape varieties ferment together giving a concentrated but elegant wine, of a great length....
