Cascina Fontana

Striking value for money and pleasure! Cascina Fontana is a small, family-run, 4-hectare winery located in the Barolo hills of the Langhe, south of Alba, in the Piedmont region of northwestern Italy. Mario Fontana is a neighbour and cousin of the great Bartolo Mascarello. It is a region of rare majestic beauty, with castle-topped vine-covered hills that look down on each other over steep, plunging valleys. Vines have been grown here for at least six generations. The traditional grape varieties of Langhe, Dolcetto, Barbera and Nebbiolo are grown to produce a range of prestigious wines that are the purest expression of the land from which they were born, Langhe.
