In this vintage of old vines, the nose takes on the fullness brought by the Roussanne, but with a beautiful management of the fruit which, without lacking in maturity, does not fall into confit. Long and broad on the palate, it has a nice saline finish. A wine full of beautiful length on delicate bitters.

Considered as one of the greatest white wines of France, only 6000 bottles of this wine are produced.
Made from 100% very old Roussane grapes, picked slightly over-ripe, this exceptional wine should be drunk within 2-3 years or in 10 years' time, as an accompaniment to great gastronomy (poularde with truffles ...).
Location :
Château de Beaucastel has 7 hectares of vineyards planted with white grape varieties.
Terroir :
Miocene marine molasse covered by alpine diluvium (rolled pebbles).
Elaboration :
Manual harvest, sorting of the grapes, collection in crates, pneumatic pressing, settling, fermentation (30% in room, 70% in vats).
During 8 months (30% in pieces, 70% in vats). Bottled after eight months.

En blanc, une cuvée classique où la roussanne est dominante, et la célèbre cuvée roussannevieilles-vignes. En rouge, le mourvèdre joue un grand rôle puisqu'il représente près d'un tiers des plantations, autant que le grenache.
